NOIZ, Imitation PoPs NOIZ, Imitation PoPs 宇宙戦隊NOIZ, 宇宙戦隊NOIZ and now UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ. Those are the names that the band has used over the years. A career that started in or around 1993 although some sources cite a date of as early as 1988. The early line-up only featured two members of the initial definite line-up being TAKASHI (later Angel-TAKA) and SATOSHI (later S@TT-ON). TAKEswiy and 叫 would join around 1998 and MASATO joined in 1999 to complete the line-up.

UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ call themselves space warriors, who have come down to Earth to save human mankind with their music. OK, that sounds pretty original, but a nice background story does not make good music. True! However, in this case, their music is good! That is, if you like rock, pop, hip-hop, rap, heavy metal, synth-pop, hard rock, electro-pop and dance – all mixed into one – cause that is what UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ sounds like.

They are a five piece band. The original line-up lasted until March 2009 when S@TT-ON and TAKEswiy left the band and were replaced by YAMATO and 呼太郎.

The re-grouped band released five more albums and twelve singles between 2009 and 2018. On the 1st of November 2023 the band unfortunately announced that they would cease activities after early February 2024, since MASATO and 呼太郎 decided to leave.

But not all is lost, as they announced a new incarnation called Neu:NOIZ on the 14th of March 2024! Details to be shared once they become available!

Official Home Page

  • Just as with メトロノーム, while re-designing this website, I took the time to make changes for UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ‘s entry. I re-scanned artwork for EGO-style, TERRA, CUBE, GREAT ROCK’N’ROLL HEROES, Sixxx Sense and 宇宙戦隊プラズマ☆アミューズメント.

While buying stuff for メトロノーム, I stumbled upon two Japanese auctions with strange NOIZ CD’s so I bought those. I have no idea what they are, but will add them once the package has arrived and they are suitable for the website!

  • Out of nowhere Angel-TAKA announced on Instagram that UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ will continue as a new formation under the name Neu:NOIZ!

Further details are unknown, including any new band members, but their first gig will be on the 29th of June in Tokyo! Wouldn’t it be something when at least TAKEswiy returned to the band…?

I now need to contemplate about whether I will add this incarnation under UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ or as a new band…

  • UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ unfortunately announced today that they will go on hiatus after their last gig in early February 2024! It seems that 呼太郎 wanted to leave which prompted MASATO to leave as well. This means there aren’t any guitarists left in the band and they lost one of their main songwriters and long-term members (MASATO, who joined in 1999).

Angel-TAKA indicated that he will think about a new band, but details are unknown at this moment.

  • In the past few months I have been adding all missing UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ releases including a few regular commercial singles and a ‘recent’ concert-only single.

The best addition was however added yesterday which is a very rare early cassette from the late 90’s called G・O・D! Click the link for more details.

  • It has been nearly one year since the previous update and I am very sorry about that! I have a pile of stuff lying next to me that still needs to be scanned and added to the website, but somehow other stuff always seems to be more important (and sometimes I am lazy).

Despite these excuses I did had to create this update since UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ released their latest album today called Sixxx Sense. There is only one edition so far, so this time there is no need to spend too much money for just one new release.

I have listened to it twice so far and quite like it. I still miss their old days, but every fan of every band usually moans about how the old days were much better.

Anyway, check out the scans and track listing for today’s update.

  • UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ released a new single on August 5th called デッドマンズ・ロデオ・リボルバー. Full track listing and artwork can be found here!

  • I am sure everyone has been waiting for this update 😉 UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ released their new single ROMANTIC☆AMADEUS last Wednesday on the 14th of January which contains two new tracks plus the instrumental versions. It has turned out to be a good single, where the second track is maybe the best of the two!

  • It appears that UCHSENTAI:NOIZ will release a new single on January 14th 2015 called ROMANTIC☆AMADEUS. So far one edition has been confirmed with four songs of which two are instrumentals. I will update the website in the next few days with all the details

  • It is time for an early Sunday morning update featuring UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ. They released a new compilation album in Philippines on August the 2nd called LEGEND OF THE ROCK’N’ROLL HEROES which features new versions of two previously released songs plus a DVD with videos.

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ released their latest single called ライカ two days ago in Japan which is the last single of their five month single campaign. The best was probably kept for last since this is arguably the best of the five singles. It once again comes as two different editions, each one containing a DVD. The big question now is: what’s next? Can we maybe expect an album anytime soon?

  • The fourth single in a series of five was released on the 9th of October by 宇宙戦隊NOIZ. This new single is called One Order and there are once again two different editions with different artwork and different contents on each DVD. It also seems that the Japanese shop Brand X is giving away a unique (hand-made) DVD with each order which features a short message by the band.

  • You can never get enough 宇宙戦隊NOIZ, so I’m happy to present two new additions to the website which are two concert-only CDr’s, both being from 2002. The first one is CROSS which was issued in August and contains two unreleased recordings. The second disc is called room and was released in September. This song was released nine months earlier on another CDr which turns out to be a completely different recording. Check the details and scans right here!

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ released their third new single yesterday in Japan called コロナ (Corona). It was once again released as two different editions, each one containing a different sleeve and different contents on the DVD.

A funny fact that I discovered earlier today while going through the credits: it appears that each band member has written one of the new tracks and it is very likely that the remaining two singles have been written by KYO and Angel-TAKA. PRECOG was written by MASATO, パラレルマインド by KOTARO and コロナ by YAMATO. Maybe the newly recorded song on each single is a favorite of each member who wrote the main track on the single?

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ released a new single last Wednesday in Japan called パラレルマインド (aka PARALLEL MIND). It features a new and a re-recorded track like the previous single plus two instrumental versions. You can now view the full details plus the artwork. I also added information for the single that will be released next month which will be called コロナ (aka CORONA).

  • I only heard about the following item about 2 months ago. Until then I did not even know it existed. Today I got a package which contained this release called バトルカプセルから愛を込めて <ALLEX RECORDS通販予約特典CDR> by 宇宙戦隊NOIZ, released in 2004. It contains an hour of discussions by the band, probably about this single and more.

  • I was finally able to find a copy of 宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s 2006 re-issue サイボーグロックショウ完全盤 for a good price. As you can see it comes with a completely different sleeve!

  • While surfing the web yesterday evening I stumbled upon another release by 宇宙戦隊NOIZ which was released with very little promotion and was a digital only release. The title is 稲妻VICTORY, was issued last month and does not even come with proper artwork.

  • It has landed! 宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s first single for 2013 and their first one after four years since BRAND NEW DAY was released as a single in 2009. The new single PRECOG was released yesterday in Japan as two different editions. Each one contains a DVD with different footage. A further four (!) more singles will be released, one every month, possibly prior to the launch of a new album later this year. The second one will be issued on the 21st of August called パラレルマインド (or PARALLEL MIND).

  • After some waiting it finally arrived today, 宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s 2002 demo CDr for 0ーレイー. Check the details over here including the sleeve which is (I think) the first time it is shown on a website!

  • At last! I was able to buy a copy of NOIZ SUPER HITS BEST COLLECTION by 宇宙戦隊NOIZ thanks to a kind fan from the Philippines! I owe you one! 😉 Scans and detailed information are now available.

  • Two great updates for today. The first one is a scan of Lovelife’s latest 10″ vinyl EP The Fourth Floor. The front and back are available for viewing.

The second addition of today is a very rare item, being 宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s 1995 demo cassette CRAZY FUCK. At this stage they were still called NOIZ and only two core members were part of the band. The music was furthermore nothing compared to what they create today. Check the details on the release page including scans.

  • Here they are, full scans for 宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s album METEORS which was released in Japan last week. Two editions are available: a standard CD edition and a limited CD/DVD edition.

  • Updates for two artists today!

First of all I added some more info about the latest Zebra and Snake promo CD for Empty Love Song. It seems that this release is pretty limited!

宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s album METEORS was released in Japan today and is available as a CD and a limited edition CD/DVD package. It also seems that they released a limited tour CD in the Philippines this month called NOIZ SUPER HITS BEST COLLECTION. It is supposed to be limited to 100 copies only and comes in a jewel case with no back sleeve. I hope to get a copy or at least more information as soon as possible.

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ announced further details for their upcoming album METEORS. Check out the track listing, artwork and different editions!

Don’t forget that you can download Lovelife’s debut EP El Regreso for free as of yesterday from their own website!

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ released a new video on the 7th of August for a cover song called Narda which is by the Filipino rock band Kamikazee. The song is not going to be featured on their upcoming album METEORS, so it is yet to be seen if it will ever be featured on a physical release. In the meantime, check out this great new song!

  • Two new demo cassette releases have been added for メトロノーム. The first one is for プラネット, the second for 東京バビロン which seems to be unknown on the internet…. until now!

I’ve also added the final missing single of 宇宙戦隊NOIZ which was ミラクル★ロケットG5. This is however the limited tour edition!

  • At last, 宇宙戦隊NOIZ’s limited tour edition of HIGH FIVE came in today which features the album on CD and a unique DVD with a promotional video of Jewel. Enjoy the rest of Friday the 13th! 😉

  • Two new items have been added for 宇宙戦隊NOIZ: the RISKY DRUG STORE DVD of HIGH FIVE, I have included some screen shots as well, just to give you an idea of what you are missing ;), and the limited fan club CD of GENOM EMOTION has been added which features unique artwork and is the only physical release for this album.

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ announced that they will release a new album on the 26th of September called METEORS. More details will be posted when they come available.

  • A new Japanese compilation was released yesterday with the title CRUSH! 3 -90’s V-Rock best hit cover LOVE songs-. It features one 宇宙戦隊NOIZ song.

  • A copy of their latest album HIGH FIVE came in today, so check out the artwork! I’ve also updated the release notes as there also appears to be a CD/DVD edition out there.

  • At last. It took me two weeks, but I nailed it. As you can see I re-designed the whole website. I got a bit tired of the previous design as it looked too dark, almost too depressing. I hope you like it and that you consider it as an improvement!

Now let’s move on to the good stuff! First off all I have added catalogue numbers to each and every release that is featured on this website. I already did a few last month, but the missing ones have now been added.

I furthermore created separate entries for each type of release. You have the option between Albums, Singles, EP’s or Miscellaneous. I hope that this improves the browsing experience a bit. You certainly do not need to scroll down that much anymore! 😉

A few new releases have been added. Find below the list, broken down per artist:

    宇宙戦隊NOIZ:

Counteraction —V-Rock covered Visual Anime songs Compilation—; a new compilation CD from Japan which features one cover song by 宇宙戦隊NOIZ. This song is stunning if I may say so!

    Zebra and Snake:

Money In Heaven; scans of the promotional CD has been added.

Healing Music; did you know that there are minor differences for each format of this album? No? Well then, head over to their page and see the differences. I have furthermore added three different promotional CDr copies that were created for the album.

  • I have no idea how this happened, but it appears that 宇宙戦隊NOIZ released a new mini-album on the 2nd of May called HIGH FIVE and I completely missed this fact! But no worries, I just ordered the album so expect all the details within a week or so 🙂

The soon-to-be-released updates (and some more!) are also coming together fine.

The new Japanese compilation album that features many artists (incl. 宇宙戦隊NOIZ) covering visual anime songs should arrive tomorrow, which will be part of the upcoming update as well.

  • 宇宙戦隊NOIZ are going to be featured on a new Japanese compilation CD called CRUSH! 3-90’s V-Rock best hit cover LOVE songs- which will be released on the 27th of June. More details and the full artwork will be added once the album has landed on my doormat.

  • After some years I have finally made the decision to complete my collection of the regular 宇宙戦隊NOIZ singles and they came in today. One of them is from 2000 and is already hard to find. The other two are from 2004 and 2005. Enjoy!

  • The pages for Mirrors, Zebra and Snake and 宇宙戦隊NOIZ are now online. The full discography is available for each artist. Check out Zebra and Snake for regular updates, as a new single and album are coming up soon!
