SINGLE TOP Religion was メトロノーム’s first commercial release in the form of a 3″ CD-single. It comes in a thin card sleeve with a lyrics sheet.

The leading song ミホトケ was initially released on a demo cassette called 8bitガールズ　ブラボー about five months earlier. The second song made its debut on this release. Both songs have not re-appeared on any other releases.

This is a pretty rare release these days, fetching high prices when sold.

Their second single which comes with three non-album songs. It did not promote any album at the time. This was the so-called black edition. A silver one was made available as well with three different songs. This single was released with an obi in a slim jewel case.

僕の右脳　猿の左脳 was re-recorded in 2008 for the album COLLECTION 2. The song INFORMATION was re-recorded for their 2007 album サイクルリサイクル.

Their third single, although arguably their second based on the title as PLASTIC-MODELS is the English translation of プラスチックーモデルス, which was the “previous” single. Both this and the previous single were released on the same day and this one also did not promote any album. The single was released with an obi in a slim jewel case.

世界はみんな僕の敵 was initially released as a demo in February 2001. It was re-recorded in 2004 for the album UNKNOWN and again in 2008 for COLLECTION 2.

Their fourth single which comes with three great non-album songs, especially track number four which is in my opinion one of their better, if not, their best non-album track. This single was released with an obi in a normal jewel case.

プラネット was first released in 1997 on a compilation album. That same version was again released in 1998 on a demo cassette. Then re-recorded again for a second demo cassette in 2001. The band apparently liked it so much that they re-recorded it again in 2008 for their album COLLECTION.

A live version of ハーメルン appears on COLLECTION 2.

A nice single release which contains one of my favorite songs by them (the main track). As with most of their singles, it features non-album songs as bonus tracks including an unlisted song (track 5). The single was released with an obi in a normal jewel case.

セルフコントロール was re-recorded in 2008 for the album COLLECTION.

The song デリート was re-recorded in 2018 for the double CD edition of the album 廿奇譚AHEAD.

アリガト seems to be a favorite within the band. It was initially released as a demo in 2000 and then again re-recorded in 2008 for the album COLLECTION 2.

This is a DVD/CD release, issued in September 2003. The DVD features all the video clips from the 1メトロノーム album plus some out-takes and brief fragments of a concert. It was released with an obi.

空 appeared in a remixed form on the bonus disc of Electric travel.

The version of たわいないトワイライト on this single was mixed slightly different when compared to the album version, i.e. some effects were sometimes used on the vocals which are not present in the final album mix.

This single was released to promote the, at that moment, upcoming album 確率論≠paradox. It again contains two non-album cuts besides the main song, a feature that they seem to repeat on every single, making it worthwhile to track down all of their singles.
