METEORS

METEORS was released in September 2012 on CD and as a limited edition CD/DVD package. Both could be bought at normal retail stores and both come with an obi.

The CD/DVD edition has the same packaging as the previous two CD/DVD tour editions for I.M.P and HIGH FIVE. The DVD contains two hours of video footage which was recorded in April 2011 and contains unplugged backstage performances plus a lot of funny moments where the band is playing games.

A number of online stores had a photo as a bonus.

This was their first album released under their name UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ.

HIGH FIVE

Their first release of 2012 which caught me by surprise as no mailing was sent out, nothing, so I did not found out about this release until late May. Shame on me!

This is a mini-album, released on CD and can once again only be bought at a number of stores throughout Japan. This album leans towards hard rock and heavy metal. I instantly loved it!

Two different DVD's were up for sale at two different stores. One could be bought at Edison, the other at RISKY DRUG STORE. The Edison DVD comes in a plastic sleeve with a printed insert but the disc itself is not printed, whereas the RISKY DRUG STORE DVD has no special sleeve, although the disc has been printed.

• The two promotional DVD's have the following contents:
• The Edison DVD has a nearly 40 minute video which shows how the guys play Jenga - quite amusing! 呼太郎 loses in the end ;)
• The RISKY DRUG STORE DVD features a nearly 7 minute video with the guys talking about....??

As with the previous album, you would also get a different bonus at each retailer. This was either a photo or a card.

A limited tour edition was also released in the same style as the I.M.P album which features unique artwork, comes in a digi-pack and has an obi. The DVD features a promotional video for the song Jewel.

Two editions were released. It was first up for sale during some concerts around March 2011. This version features a slipcase with different artwork, CD and a DVD which contains a promo video. The standard release was released in June 2011 and a selected number of retailers each had a unique bonus which was a photo of the band. Both editions have an obi.

GENOM EMOTION

After a year of silence they suddenly came with this free digital album release which you can still download from the official website. This is the first full album release by the new line-up and the second release if you include the single BRAND NEW WORLD.

The download package features 320kbps MP3 files and a PDF with the frontsleeve, lyrics and liner notes.

Members of their fan club in Japan would get the album for free on CD starting the third week of December 2010. Any new members would get the CD for free as well until the 30th of December 2010. This CD only has a frontsleeve, no backsleeve and no obi.

This is their first compilation and marks the end of an era. This is the final album that features S@TT-ON and TAKEswy. They left the band in the month when this album was released and FLASHBACK FLAG is thus the last song that was recorded with the original line-up.

Two versions exist of this release. A standard release and a deluxe edition which has a golden slipcase and a DVD with the promo video for FLASHBACK FLAG and an alternate video of the same song. Both come with an obi.

The compilation not only features one new song and most of their hits, it also features two B-sides, the English version of Igni+ioN and some album tracks that were never released as a single.

CUBE is different. Well, the music style is similar to the previous album, but the recording process was different. This is a collaborative album, because each band member wrote his own song which results in some genre changes. All previous albums were mainly written by MASATO and Angel-TAKA.

This album was released on CD in a normal jewel case. There are however two different editions: the standard one and a deluxe edition which features an expanded photo booklet. The music is the same and so is the artwork. There are only minor differences in the obi.

TERRA is their fourth album which was once again released as a digi-pack on CD with an obi.

Note that the extra tags behind some song titles are not present on the actual CD. This is however how the CD was advertised in 2007, because the single releases apparently have different versions and those singles were all released before this album came out.

This album marks another bandname switch to simply 宇宙戦隊NOIZ which they are still using.

This album was a sell out and gave them even more popularity. It was released as a CD with an obi.

The first pressing was released as a digi-pack. The obi had a printing error at the front top so the logo would not allign properly. Customers could request a new correct obi and would get a sticker with the album artwork as an apology.

The album was re-released in March 2008 in a standard jewel case.

Second album which gave them their first taste of stardom. This album really blew me away and was the reason why I really started to dig this group. Released on CD and comes with an obi.

It seems that this album is now out of print.

Two promotional CDr's exist. The first one (pictured at the left) features a 43 minute radio show with the guys, possibly talking about the new album and some other fun stuff. "Possibly", since I do not speak one single word of Japanese... The second CDr was probably a free gift when (pre-)ordering the album. It comes in a slim jewelcase with a simple sheet of paper as a front sleeve. Same as the other promotional release.

Their first true album released under the bandname Imitation PoPs 宇宙戦隊NOIZ in 2003.

The first pressing comes with a thick CD-sized comic book and a larger-than-normal obi.

The album was re-released in January 2006 with different artwork, dubbed 'The Special Version'. Note that 0-ray- was re-titled to 0-レイ- on this release.

This is still a great album, especially for a debut! It contains a lot of different styles in just 40 minutes.

Imitation PoPs

Their first album, well, mini-album. This was released in 1999 on CD and the package comes with an obi.

They were called NOIZ back in those days and the interesting thing is that they called this album Imitation PoPs which they later used as a part of their bandname.

The first track of this album was originally on their demo cassette CRAZY FUCK from 1995. It was re-recorded for this CD release.

This album is pretty hard to find these days and can be expensive.
